Mastodon has been working on Fediverse Auxiliary Service Provider Specifications, which basically means a plugin system that third parties can implement so that Mastodon can use them in various parts of federation. If for example the EU would want to censor fediverse the same way they enforce censorship on Xitter/Facebook/..., they would now have the perfect scapegoat for that. Sponsor a service for an automod/age verifier based on the specification and enforce its use via some regulation like the DSA (which already touches moderation). If you had any issues installing Pleroma on one of the operating systems that currently have documentation and are still supported (aren't EoL), please speak out in this thread. Before replying, please read the list on Pleroma's Gitlab which can be found here (you'll have to click on "Read more" to see it fully): https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/-/issues/3397 No need to create a Gitlab account as I'll be adding issues as they get mentioned here, if they are valid. For those that I promised months ago that I will look into issues you raised, the time has finally come.
